I feel that this school needs better administration. There is a total lack of communication between the principal and parents. The principal is also not good at handling problems, she uses the ignore it and it will go away technique. I do feel that most of the teachers are good at their jobs and do care about the children.

I am concerned for the quality of instruction given the special education students at this school. I believe some classes are overcrowed and not adequate to meet student needs. Parents need to question IEP goals and question how they are being addressed. Parents must visit classes and stay on top of the level of instruction.

They have P.E. twice a week. They also rotate between music, art, and tech. lab. The teachers are good at communicating with parents. The school has monthly PTO meetings that the children preform at.

We moved to ft. White in 2001 from st. Petersburg fl, when we came into the school all the staff was wonderful and very inviting. After about 2 weeks the teacher called and informed us that our child was about 3 levels behind in reading and was having trouble, we had a conference and they set up an academic plan for her and this year (7th grade) she has been on the honor roll 2 times. The schools are great and the parent-teacher contact is great. I could tell after the first year that the teachers and staff are really doing this job because they truly care and not just for a paycheck. I have a child in the 2nd grade who started school at ft. White and she is getting a great education. Honor roll 5 times now.
