As an avid Vikings fan, I believe that Emerald is the best high school in the Lakelands area because we have a very strong student and unique student body. Academically excellent, as well as athletically (in most sports).
This school is recentkly renovated and has top technology located in every room. Including Promethean boards, phone systems, and Speakers. ALthough the school has had sometrouble with slow constuction overall, the student body is very pleased with the construction and likes the 'New Emerald'. As an SGA rep, I understand the studet's opinions, and most are very happy. The only problem is with the teachers notunderstanding how to work all the new technology. Which will come with experience. Hope this review helps with students, parents, and other families wanting to know more about this school.
As far as I can tell, Emerald is a very good school. The extracurricular activities have very devoted teachers. Most of the teachers are very good, but there are a few exceptions. The teachers and staff are very nice (with one exception). The gap between 'cool' and 'uncool' kids doesn't really exist, but rather we have formed groups that can't really be defined, all of which mingle. Overall a very nice school.
