I am beyond pleased with this school. The class sizes are very small and intimate, and the teachers and principle all take on an active role not just in the school, but in the entire community. It's great to have such a close knit family for a child to grow up and thrive with. Unfortunately, the county is debating shutting down this school with their feeder plan and ruining all of it's goodness by combining it and losing our children in a larger school. I'm praying that this has no opportunity to take place.

This is a great school. The principal is energetic and is constantly striving to improve the school. The teachers are approachable and experienced. It is a small school and many of the classes are smaller than the average teacher-student ratio for the county. It seems that the school is constantly trying to make parents feel comfortable at school and to inform them about their child's activities. There are a number of activities children can choose to participate in after school at this point (depending on finding people willing to lead these groups)

This school is located in a beautiful setting out in the country. The building is old and the staff is not very creative with the halls, but it is safe and clean. The school has a new principal. He has already made positive changes with the behavior problems previously experienced in the classrooms. (At one point in previous years, I felt the teachers spent more time addressing behavioral issues than they actually instructed.)The new principal stresses character and has been activily pursuing enrichment activities outside of the classroom. Half the teachers are average, while the other half are exceptional educators. There are a handful of parent volunteers who organize fundraising activities that fund a variety of educational guests and events, but not many volunteers in the school on a daily basis(maybe 4 or 5 dedicated volunteers every year).

Red Hill Elementary has a supportive atmosphere with an unusually high level of parent involvement and dedication. The small size enables the teachers and administration to provide one-on-one guidance for the students. There are many extracurricular activities, film nights, math nights, field trips, and programs. I cannot say enough about how I pleased I am with Red Hill Elementary.
