Ferndale ECE s a wonderful full day school for Pre-K and K only. It's complete renovation was finished late in 2007 and boasts extra large rooms with computers and a terrific playground. The staff is excellent. My daughter especially liked her reading specialist, Mrs.Nehman, her counseler, Mrs.Culp, and Mrs.Moore, the 'funny' art teacher. Her Kindergarten teacher has left to have a baby, but all the teachers were excellent. I really loved that being in their own school, it preserves their innocence and youth a little longer before they enter the 'big kid' school. Also, they share a PTA with the nearby 1st-5th grade school, so they don't miss out on any of the social events or book fairs that the larger schools have. We were very happy there.
