Our county may be rural, but we have a fantastic high school, that offers a great learning experience for the college bound and those that choose another path. We have several cutting edge vocational classes, one is the fish farm, which has been a huge success. My daughter graduated from JCHS and did great in college and graduate school. I believe that if you want to learn, then JCHS will be there for you. We have some wonderful teachers and staff, and they do a great job.

Johnson County High School is a very safe learning environment that has many positive attributes. The majority of the teachers truely care about their students. They are teachers at JCHS that do not belong there, but on the whole most teachers are wonderful. I do wish that they offered more advanced classes & they do tend to cater to some students more than others, but most schools do. Ms. Betty Brown seems to have made a positive effect with the students. The good teachers do not get praised enough for the wonderful job they do. Some of the best teachers are Mr. Mast, Ms. Reece, Ms. Payne, Mrs. Simcox, Mrs. Sargent, Mrs. Angel, Mr. Smith & Mrs. Blevins.

If you are lucky enough to get Ms. Stacy Reece, Mrs. Wanda Payne, or Mr. John Mast, you can say (when you're student of the week) that JCHS is a Possitive learning expiriance, and you're friends with your tearchers. Take art or band and you'll learn an art from two really wonderful people. Take creative writing and you'll have wonders coaxed from your pen. However, if you get stuck in any of the lesser teachers' classes, you're, quite frankly, skrewed. Sorry. I think it's a flaw in the public education system as a whole.
