WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL!! My twin girls started at Longwood Montessori when they were four and did Pre-K & K grades there. We immediately fell in love with the teachers & their blend of caring and teaching. Each child is taken as a wholistic individual; Learning is approached in this way, within a loose framework of direction. My girls learned not only social principals of sharing & playing with others, but thorough basics of reading, writing, spelling & some math. When they left they were doing K to 1st grade level work, enthusiatically & happily! We didn't realize exactly HOW wonderful this school & its teachers was until we moved away this fall, & tried finding another like it, thinking all Montessoris similar in nature. They are not. I Longwood Montessori to be an oOUTSTANDING example of what teaching should be: Fun, Enlightening, & Intructive! THANK YOU, LMS!
