I thought this was a great school... Girls in my daughter's class made her cut her very long hair during the after school program. She was told that if she didn't cut her hair nobody would play with her. So she did. None of the teachers noticed!!! There were afew more incidents that would take too much time to describe. I was very concerned and took my daughter to a teacher from a local public school to get tested. It turned out that she was behind in writing even though the OSM always stated that my daughter was doing fine and not behind in anything. I talked to the school officials and got no visible result. I pulled my daughter out of OSM. I didn't get any apologies from the school. Instead I got a bill for pulling my daugther out early. Don't send your kids to OSM!!!
OSM has been a great experience for my daughter. Starting out when she was 3, she has adapted well and has a true affection for her teachers and classmates. We can see her progress in everything she does at home. She has learned about as much disipline as you can teach a three year old and has made good progress in learning her geography and phonics. OSM is great because the kids are the most important thing. The atmosphere is very nurturing which makes the learning very easy and efficient. That being said you get what you pay for. Tuition is very high, and you get to pay for all the extras as well.
OSM is a wonderful school, however their tuition fees are too extreme and are raised yearly. Some of the teachers did not seem as experienced as others. Child stays with same teacher for as long as 3 years.
OSM is amazing. Not only was their acedemic standard and exposures to subjects wonderful, they create a sence of community and compassion for others. Most important they support each childs individuality and foster a love of learning.
