If I could have chosen to go to high school anywhere, this would be it. We have great teacheres and extracurriculars, especially marching band.

Abington has EVERYTHING...the best teachers (ones who act as both educators and mentors), a diverse student population, myriad clubs/activities, and a friendly environment overall.

Abington schools have truly changed and stayed the same in some areas. First the change, I've called and written teachers concerning my child and have even informed the principal that I've been trying to contact several teachers and no one has contacted me yet. It's as if they do not care anymore. The teachers are also trying to be friends to the students instead of the teacher, until something happens. Secondly, the same. There is still alot of harrassing/picking amongst students and nothing is done about it or it's not handled in a timely until something happens between the students. Finally, I do not advocate fighting, however, I do believe that if someone is being taunted regularly or hit, the victim has a right to defend themselves. I understand training starts at home, however, I wish the school could have a class/progam to teach girls/boys the importance of loving/respecting themselves.

It was fine a few years ago for me at least. I do see how it is getting out of control with the students. Some of the teachers are good, but there are also some not so good ones. Yes there is a lot of teasing going on in there and teacher will most likely not do anything... big surprise there. Its still a good place to learn, if you can look past all that. I do think some of the teachers don't belong there. Since they aren't really teaching the students and usually let them do whatever they want in class.
