After having my son in one of the best private schools in the area, we found ourselves at Central. A low GPA (2.2) got him 'removed' from private school where he was emotionally devastated when he was 'exiled'. Central High School's principal, teacher, and staff picked up his shattered self-esteem and helped him to realize his potential. The nearby public school has police on campus and pick up kids everyday. I have not seen one police car at Central since my child started there over 1 1/2 years ago. My child feels smart and accepted again. He talks about college once more and what he wants to achieve. Central is not for 'troubled' kids. It is for extremely intelligent children who have been lost in the public/private school system and need a smaller school. Central is a school that wants to see a child succeed.

My older son was able to ignore the bullies and focus to graduate on time. My younger son found the lack of respect for the school authorities to be a distraction.

i am an atteending student at Central, I love the school. Out teachers are fantastic. They personally care about each individual to make sure we dont slip through the cracks, we are noticed and made sure of that we work hard.
