My son started 7th grade at Latin this year. It was a struggle for us initially because he simply didn't want to go - his friends were going to DEAL. Being there, however, changed his mind and he has made a 360' turn. To hear him say now that he 'really likes the school' is amazing. I have never seen him so focused, so intent on finishing his work, so challenged. He really enjoys the intensity of the work. His teachers provide consistent, caring feedback and support in a smaller school setting. He is not one of the 'lost' in a large middle school, and I appreciate that. I am really - really - really glad that we found Latin. We give it an 'A'.

Washington Latin is a great public school. The head of school and the curriculum director are bright, responsive and energetic and attract an impressive faculty. This is our 4th year and our children love their school, teachers and friends because the environment encourages inquiry and learning.

Our daughter is in her first year at Latin, and we have been very pleased. We were 'wowed' by the quality of her teachers at back-to-school night, and continue to be impressed with the follow-through we've seen with parent communication. Given the reputation for rigorous studies the school has, we are equally impressed by the arts and physical education programs.
