If you are looking for a school for your child, I highly recommend you check out Aventura Montessori School. The outside appearance of this school may not appeal to you, but the school environment is amazing. The classrooms are very clean, neat, and orgainzed. The staff really care about the children. My child went to this school for one year and loved going to school everyday. We had an excellent experience with the staff, parents and children at Aventura Montessori School. My child has just started kindergarten at a public school and is well prepared academically and socially.

I have three children and all of them have attended Aventura Montessori and I can confidently say it has been a great experience for all three of them. The teachers have excellent methods of redirection and the director is open to feedback and very diligent in addressing any concern. My experience at Aventura Montessori has been excellent and I would recommend it.

My child has gone to this school for the past 2 years. Overall the shool is ok but the feedback on your child's development is severely lacking. Nobody wants to talk about your child's progress! You only get two opportunities for a conference to meet the teachers. Its so secretive and they really don't want to bother to talk with the parents about their children. I know that all Montessori schools should have an observation area so that parents can quietly observe their children whenever they want. They do not provide nor encourage parents to ovserve their children when that are working with the materials. This is frustrating and goes against the Montessori principles which include observation as an important facet of the method. Too bad they are the only Montessori school in the area because I would consider another one for my child if I had a choice.
The leadership of Ms.Ali (director) is well organized and efficient. The school definitely follows the philosophy of Maria Montessori. I feel like it is wonderful that my child is in a classroom with children of varying ages and is guided to learn not forced. I like the teachers a lot. The school does offer times when parents are able to be involved, however I feel the feedback of my child's progression is lacking. I don't like the fact that the teachers don't really talk to you about how your child's day went. OVERALL the good out weigh the bad by a lot. My child has been to daycare and we will NEVER go back. The school is a bit strict, but you and your child get used to it and realize that it is the best for them. My child has confidence and has learned great manners! she is flourishing there!
