Now six foot fence has arrived and parents are told to park somewhere else at a private campus, ave maria university and cross a street while walking with kids after school. And tickets are given and threats are made by collier county parks and rec staff if parents don't move off grass for five minutes while waiting for students. Love this school....Hate the pick-up process for walking students. An entire parking lot sits empty as parents are harrassed.
I totally disagree. The front office staff has been totally warm & helpful, not just my children. I have made a special effort to be around every am at dropoff & in previous years various times of day. The principals have handled many situations we've encountered w/compassion & true concern. A big problem exists in this society today where parents feels the need to place all responsibiity on the parents. The biggest detriment my kids face is the kids who feel they can never learn to respect authority and others. It is a parents responsibiity to teach their children to respect others & show them to truly love learning. The world is not perfect & we all need to work together- parents & teachers- to help them achieve their true potential in life. Spend some true time at this school & you will see how truly patient these teachers are.

My experience with this school has been somewhat different, & maybe it is b/c my child went there on school choice. My child was used as a 'fill-in' meaning they just stuck her in a class that was not equally ratio weither boys to girls or in race. The children had difficulty in keeping their hands to themselves. The teacher had trouble keeping her class under control. Front office staff very cold, and unfriendly. administration (vice principal lacking in communication skills.) This school lets the kindergarteners walk to and from class (in pairs) by them selves unsupervised. and they are not concerned in the least.

My daughter just graduated from the 5th grade gifted class. Previously she was in private French schools in Europe. I can only say that the Vineyards was her most enriching and rewarding scholastic experience to date. Her teachers all gave 110% and truly cared! We will miss being part of the 'Vineyard's Family' !
