Apparently the parent who posted on January 28, 2008 did not give the program a chance. I am an instructor at the school and wonder if the parent really is informed about the Montessori method of teaching, as it has little or no paperwork. It is a hands-on curriculum. In terms of diversity, the staff includes African Americans, as well as staff from Jamaica, Mexico and El Salvador. I believe I am aware of the parent who posted the comments and it is unfortunate that she felt the need to smear the school name. This is an excellent educational program for preschoolers.

My daughter went to the montessori place in the preschool program and I was ery disappointed. She never brought anything home that she was learning or may have created and the school has absolutely no diversity

I am highly impressed with Montessori Place! My daughter started in the daycare program and advanced so quickly to the Pre-K class right before 2 yrs. old. Although, she was the smallest in her class the staff & I knew she needed the challenge. I am amazed daily at what she knows only at the age of 2: ABC's, counting, colors, animals, some US states & continents, the lords prayer(by heart),A-Z bible scriptures, & much, much more! I thank God for this school & staff, I could not ask for a better education for my child. Being a busy mom it is helpful that she is in ballet & tap during school as well. I don't have to use my evenings or Saturday's for extracurricular activities. They also offer gymnastics too. Montessori Place also offer a summer program filled with programs and activities, which is helpful for me & my husband.

My child started at Montessori Place when she was 2 1/2 years old. This is a Christian based pre/school program that offers more then just traditional day care. My child was reading beginning sounds and writing her name at 3 1/2 years of age. She scored exceptional well on the MAT test last year and this year her 1st Grade card markings are above average as well. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of the children. They also offer dance and gymnastics classes too. I had my second child in 10/05 and started him in the Infant/Toddler program 09/06. He has developed into a very happy and active little boy. He receives excellent care and I know he is in good hands everyday. So if you are looking for a daycare center that is a cut above the rest, I would strongly recommend Montessori Place.
