My daughter is four and after the first week in the school she was repeating to everyone: 'I love Brevard Montessori!' The school really focus on the children and their complete education - from their lessons to building a sense of community. The kids love the independence and responsibility they take on. The loving environment has a very positive effect on them as they learn to respect their friends, and help in the classroom. We can see some of their progress through the work they bring back home for us to see every day - drawings, words they wrote, etc. As a not-for-profit organization, the school requires parents to volunteer and help in many different ways. Depending on your schedule, you may take on different responsibilities and activities. The staff you interact with is just fantastic!
Brevard Montessori is a great little school with dedicated and caring staff. This is NOT Indian Harbour Beach Montessori and this school is a non-for-profit organization. Parent make decisions about the direction of the school and work closely with the directress to ensure our kids learn in the best possible environment. Our daughter started in Brevard Montessori and she had a wonderfull year. I find that the teachers are much more flexible than those in some of other Montessori schools in Brevard. The price is also right. Highly Recommended!
I have 2 children attending IHM. We love it. The teachers are incredible and the staff is great. My children have learned so much and enjoy going to school at IHM. The teaching philosophy works well for children and allows them to excel. The teachers are always willing to talk and are available. The school keeps the parents informed and has many events that allow the parents to come in and see the school. They ask parents to get involved through volunteering and parent/teacher nights. One of my favorite things for the younger children is the nights the parents get to come in and have the children show them what they work on. It's a great experience for everyone. I just can't say enough good things about my experience with IHM.
