My child attended BKPlay Academy for 2008/2009 and the first month of 2009/2010. There were serious issues with organization, lack of communication, and teacher turnover and I developed a lack of trust for the management. I returned in 2009/2010, despite misgivings, because I wanted my child to have consistency in his school experience, yet was forced into the drastic step of removing my returning student in the first month. Due to continuing issues with management, I was frustrated by lacking bilingual instruction, student-teacher ratios exceeding what had been promised, and confusion over who the instructors would be. Though many parents volunteered to make up for the deficiencies, I had already had this experience the year before and began to feel taken advantage of. Others felt the same and left when I did. To those who would place their child in BK Play Academy, be cautious and get everything in writing!
Unethical management, very high teacher turnover, no safety procedures or volunteer background checks, no curriculum, no growth path or plan. No written policies.

My kid was there for 2 years. Now we are at a bigger school and we all miss BKPlay and the staff. My son was one of the high achievrs and he was challended enough and happy. Now he is bored. We are thinking about moving back.
