My daughter is in fourth grade and has attended BES since Kinder. We have had a great experience with the teachers and staff. Communication and parent involvement is key! Like every school, they have had some bad apples...teachers and students. They handle these issues appropriately. I am not actlively involved with the PTO, but volunteer whenever called upon. I spend as much time as possible in my daughter's classroom and visiting for lunch. I believe my child is happier and more accountable with my involvement!

Our child is autistic and attends Brookhollow The office staff is wonderful and keep parents informed about what's going on at school. The school Nurse Darla is fantastic with the kids. My highest praise goes to the Special Ed. Staff, though. Kim Peters is amazing and a truly gifted teacher. Our child has grown and progressed in the past two years to heights that we never thought possible. The inclusion classroom teachers are patient and kind and equally wonderful. The entire student body is aware of the meaning of Autism and the autistic students who attend Brookhollow. It's refreshing that the students are educated about their differences and similarities. I can't write enough positive comments about this school. I'm so glad we moved to Pflugerville because of Brookhollow.

My child is in 5th grade and has attended this school since 1st grade. The diversity of the school is refreshing. Overall the teachers have been great, although as in every school, there are one or two that you wonder why they chose teaching as a career. I agree with the other comments that the principal lacks in social skills and that position could use a much-needed change. The teachers, office staff, and parents more than make up for that negative. The most important matter to me is that our child is getting a good education and it's great to see this school's kids motived and eager to learn They must be doing something right!

I agree to a point on the principal problems, he isn't a real people person as far as the parents go, but I do know that he went out of his way to ride the bus home everyday on one of the busses with the more lets just say spirited children. As the kids were getting off the bus he talked to all of them, even if it was just to say 'hi'. The teachers are varied as everyone has said. One of my daughters teachers kept in daily contact, the other had almost no interaction with parents during the week.
