This is my daughter's first year at this school. I am absolutely disappointed. I thought taking my daughter to a Charter school would benefit her more than one of the surrounding public schools. I believe I was sadly mistaken. Everything about this school is pure chaos. The pick up line, the lunch room, the lack of communication.. the lesson plans... everything. We are not informed (and if we are we are given 1/2 days notice) of upcoming projects or class events. I will definately be removing my daughter from this school at the end of the year. I drive over 20mins to take her to (what I thought was an A+) school, and I am sadly disappointed.She learned more from a pt nanny that she has in the few months she has attended this school. Thank God structure is shown at home, this school is severely lacking structure!
im a student that attends gateway charter middle school.this is goind to be my third year in this school im going to the eighth grade.this school is in my opinion average.there is great teachers but all so new teachers that have no clue what there teaching.also the policys we have in our school are also taken 2 an extreme at times.instead of wasting so much time on our shirts being tucked in you should check on those new teachers your hireing.at times i feel like im teaching my self certain subjects.and also everything is to expensive starting with uniforms,lunch that isnt all that great,and those volenteer hours.
My child has gone through elementary and is now in the middle school. I am extremely happy with this school. Whenever my child needed help her teachers always helped. If she was bullied and told the teacher they always helped. She has been a honor roll student every year since attending this school. Her FCAT scores are through the roof. I love this school and would recommend it to any one.
