The Gifted/Talented program excels, as does the Music and Art programs. My children have had the benefit of wonderful teachers. Unfortunately, too many students fall through the cracks, drop out or are sent next door to the 'Career Center' to be babysat, thus upping the graduation rates. With the exception of the Assistant Principal, the Administrators need to be replaced. This school could be so much more.
the westbrook high school has alot of good teachers. they like to help the kids out and it is a great school.
I think the school is a little old but it's not like it's bad looking. I think the teachers are great and the teachers definitly have the kids under control.
I have had two children go through the high school. Although not ever without problems, I felt that overall my concerns were taken seriously and addressed appropriately. There will always be problem teachers, and problem students - but the administration at Westbrook really does care. The guidance office is excellent.
