Horrible school, I would list every reason but I don't believe cyberspace contains enough data space for the amount of failure that school can sum up. There are many teachers who teach well, know their information, and overall should be listened to but many things have inhibit their ability to teach. It's complicated and anyone who says they love the school obviously took the path of least resistance or graduated during a different time period.
i think this school is great in many ways including ecademics my son loves it an is looking forward to graduate from here!

This school is amazing! I am a current student and proud to say it. For those who say Lely is bad, I have a few questions for you: Have you ever stepped inside the school? Have you ever spent a week at Lely? Are you too close-minded to see past all the cameras and bad press and what not? Because this school, once you become part of lely and step inside our world, you'll never want to leave. 'learning for all...whatever it takes'-Lely High School Motto. Go Trojans!

Lely certainly rises far higher than its reputation has many believe. Many teachers are some of the most highly qualified in the county, with AP passing rates reflective of the success. There are plenty of extracurriculars and courses available to students, and the socioeconomic diversity of the students more closely mirrors the 'real world' than the other Collier County schools. This unique situtation provides both a great window of opportunity for students of lesser backgrounds to catch up and get ahead and a chance for more well-off students to understand and work with the students of financial hardship. However, students have Lely unfortunately must learn quickly which teachers and courses to avoid and which departments have strengths and weaknesses. It has its faults, but overall I d have a hard time recommending any other Collier County school over Lely, perhaps only Naples High matching both its diversity and opportunities.
