Let's be honest. You can't just give a school 5 stars because you want it to be the best. This is an average school with little school spirit. The pep rallys are pathetic, everytime a student is late to class, a parent is annoyed by a phone call, and the SGA runs everything, giving no individual student input. However, academic success is pretty high, not considering the CPS classes. So there's an honest review from a student.

I am a former student of Woodmont High School. Many people have often looked down on our school. Despite the reasoning, I would not have went to any other high school. Woodmont's falculty and staff are the best around. They really care about the students; unlike most high schools. Activities are always happening at Woodmont. Activities are planned by staff and even students. There is plenty of student involvement at this school which I think plays an important role in promoting learning. The students at Woodmont seem to all get along better than most people in those age groups. Yes, there are cliques just as you would find at any other school. Despite this however, the students get along quite well. People of all backgrounds 'hang out' together. Woodmont is a very diverse school and because of this you would think there would be many problems. Woodmont makes its diversity work.

I am a student at Woodmont High School. I think that all of the academics and sports teams are a good thing for us as students. This year they are not taking any slacking off or horseplay. I think that because of that the students are more aware of how important their education is. Also, the sports teams are a good thing because they tell you that you have to have good grades in all of your classes to stay on the team. So, if you are a student and you want to play bad enough, you will keep your grades up. Also, all of the clubs and teams keep us busy. Therefore, we won't have time to get into trouble and we will stay focused on our education and to better our reputation.
