The staff at Dee Elementary are superb. 78% of the population are Hispanic but they are very welcoming. There are no walls on the classrooms, so it can be challenge at first for the kids to get used to. The school does a great job of helping the children who are struggling in school but because of the need for high test scores, they focus more on bringing up the children who need extra attention. There is little to no parent involvement, but hopefully they can get a PTA in there to help out soon.
Very diverse and easy to access. Students have their challenges, but several programs offered at Dee, enable students to be successful before, during, and after school.
