I don't agree with the person who said that if your child has a learning disability, Emmerson isn't the place for your child. My son is autistic (high function) and they are so great to him. He's blossoming and doing just great. I just wish that they had a bus system to get the kids to and from school! We live across town from the school and we have to drive him - both my husband and I work. That is my only critisim.

I don't think this school is all that great at all. I went there in my 7th grade year I had the worst year of my life not very good staff. Good teaching skills. Some of the staff can be a little rude.
My son has attended Emerson for two years and is in the enriched program. We are involved in the PTSA and I can honestly say that Emerson has an administrative staff that cares about the students. Discipline has improved greatly in the two years. Our son enjoys Emerson and is excelling on National testing. He reports that several of his friends wish they could transfer to Emerson.
