My son attended this school last year and I was so disappointed. We had issues with a particular teacher and was basically given the brush off and the old it will get better. When it comes to my child's education I really like to stay involved and with this school I would encourage every parent to stay involved and don't allow the teachers to not be held accountable. My son would bring home graded papers from a particular teacher and she was so used to giving grades that she would often misgrade his assignments and get offended when he would questioned her, so as parents, we questioned her. Every week this was happening. She would brag about failing her students and of course that would make an uncomfortable environment for any child. Please stay involve with your child's teachers hold them accountable. These are the worst schools I have ever seen.

All schools have issues, but TPJHS is always looking for ways to improve the school. Students are encouraged to attend after school tutoring, clubs and activities. There are many opportunities for student leadership. Discipline is tough, but needed.

I found that it was almost imposible to get in contact with a teacher. Students answer the phones in the office and many of my messages were either misplaced or lost. They do try to have as many after school activities as they can, but I found that teachers tend to cater to the students that do well academicaly. If you do need any extra instuction no matter how little, you must do it in an after school tutorial. I was not pleased with this school at all!

Twentynine Palms Junior High is a great Academic institution. The Teachers and other Faculty educate as well as promote good citizenship. Monthly assemblies for Citizenship and Academic achievement and announcements gives parents and family members opportunity to see how things are going and to hear the band play. Band is offered for 7th and 8th Grade and the band teacher also supports Twentynine Elementary 4th-6th Graders with music. The 7th and 8th Grade students also help the elemtary students to learn their instruments and both bands combine for specials at both schools. This school also has GATE as well as other academic other opportunities.
