Garrett is great in all aspects! My child's teachers got her CRCTs up to EXCEEDING! And she actually loves learning and doing her best. She never was an honor roll student until she got to Garrett!
This is a wonderful school. I like this school because they teach students to act in an orderly manner. They also stay on the subject which they teach. Thanks Dr.Harris
The school does as little as possible beyond cramming for the CRCT(NCLB required state test). My child has never even been assigned a science fair project. BTW, over 70% fail the science portion of the CRCT. Yet, these incompetent teachers are retained year after year. Their idea of grades is 100 for a signed agenda. Parents are surprised when the child fails the test, yet earns good grades. The test isn't even rigorous. Unfortunately, the county has a restrictive transfer policy, or these folks would be in the unemployment line. And I agree w/ another poster-the principal is never on the premises.
This school does not have enough envovlment for the stidents to particpate in. I feel as a parent cobb county is not one of the best.
