The band program is great as is the band director. But that's all that is great with this school. The students that attend this school are all worried about popularity and will do anything to be popular. If you don't fit in with these 'popular' cliques, you will get harrassed on a daily basis. Teachers and Principal do nothing to help. They claim that they're a bully free school but my daughter has been bullied since she first went to school there. I am now having to send her to a different school since her self esteem has dropped to an all-time low.

This is a great school for students who want to be involved with extracuricullar activitys and keep up their grades our athletics arnt exactly the best but our band is the State Champion and our band director is easily one of the best in the state if not the nation this is definetly the best school of the area.

Delcambre High School is a fantastic school that has a wonderful caring staff, it has a small town attitude. Parents and teachers working toward the same common goal of give the kids the best possible education. The band program at this school is excellent, and the Band Director is one of the Best.

I have had the opportunity to compare schools since my family and I have moved about a year and a half ago. This is a wonderful school. It has a small school fell to it. It only has apx 500 students enrolled in grades 6-12. I have an ADHD son and he previously went to a Lafayette Parish middle school. He was belittled and picked on by faculty. I received phone calls almost on a daily basis and his self esteem was suffering. He got into so much trouble over little things like laughing while coming in from recess that we thought he would fail. This school as well as the elementary school have a grip on the students, without causing the students and parents unnecessary anxiety. They faculty is caring and moving to this town and this school is like waking up from a city school nightmare.
