I am currently in my Senior year at mcEacher, and I have to say the experience has been less than... glorious. Three stars is somewhat generous, but the teachers I had actually helpedme. It seems that the Gifted and AP teachers are the only ones that care about student success,as the on-level class I've been in were basically'survival of the fittest' both in an acedemic way, and who wever could survive the students. Student discepline is a major issue, and i don't suggest attending if you doin't want to see the rumps of every 'gangsta' in the school. Severall times I had to belive that scedules were created by throwing darts at a wall with all the classes on it. I was enrolled in back-to-back Team sports instead of Spanish III or any of the arts, two classes I both wanted and needed. Not the best school, but it works... usually.
In spite of some things that my husband and I had heard. We have been very impressed with the educational experience that our son has had at McEachern. He came from a private christian environment and was expecting the worst, but we never experienced that. With the opening of Hill Grove High School we feel a lot of the behavior issues that we heard about has disappeared. If you are serious about education and you want all the resources possible to receive a quality education McEachern High School is the place for you. The staff is always available and willing to assist the kids, as well as, the parents.

i went to mhs last year and the school is not what it used to be. When my older siblings went there it was great but all good things come to an end. It was very hard to learn in the class rooms due to the many distractions created by other students basically it isnt the best learning enviorment

i use to attend mhs. i miss the school spirit and the surrounding cobb county community. i miss the caring students and teacherns and staff that attended the school. while i was at mhs i was treated with kindness and respect. i miss mhs very much. i am now a junior at another high school in GA. i am planning to move back to powder springs so that i can finish my last year in high school at Mceachern high school
