Farm hill has an amazing community. We have high standards, great programs, and we are a vanguard school winner as well as principal of the year winner for 2006-07. You will find this the best elementary school middletown has to offer. Culture is rich and diverse as well!
Our principal is awesome! She was one of 3 finalists for National Principal of the Year Award this year. She considers the children at our school as 'her kids'. She is always available to parents. We have a multicultural school. We have an active PTA but it does seem to be the same parents who are involved in most activities although many others will help out in other ways. Many teachers welcome parent helpers in their classes, especially the primary grades. Most of the teachers are committed and enthusiastic. Too much focus on CMTs (ie teaching for the test), although it pays off in test scores.
