Last year I submitted a review about my families experience at Metro and it was poor. However, as the year progress the transition became a lot smoother. My son absolutely loves Metro, the principal, and the teachers. Last year MEAP scores were exceptional and my son was proud of himself. I have come to love Mr. Cook for his dedication to the school and the children that attend. Mrs. Kouba for her continuing caring and supportive attitude towards the childen. Also Mrs. Holls for her stern and effective teaching style. Now Mr. Ward the Dean of Students is on board and he also gives the students the structure and the attention that they need. If I could I would take back my previous review and let everyone know that new transitions are hard for everyone and building trust takes time. I am happy to say that Metro is a great school!
This school has the best teachers who care about the students. The PTO is great and does many things to take care of the staff. The school offers academics at different levels so no one is left out or left behind. The school offers many afterschool activites, sports, electives and more!

I am pleased with the overall size of the classrooms. There are parapros that assist the kindergarten teachers. The public schools cannot turn away students and they have nearly 35 kids to a class without parent helpers or parapros. I know this because we left Garden City Schools for this reason.
