DP has an amazing Vocal Jazz Program that is well supported by the parents and extended family and friends. They also have a high standard for academics in all of their students. One daughter graduated from DP and I have two grand children now attending... love it!
Because Dos Pueblos is one of those schools where being a jock or prep is somewhat non-existant. Cliques are only by who knows who, not by how they know eachother. Somebody can do football, wrestling, theater, and choir and not get judged by it. Everybody is there to do what they want to do, not what they have to. And we also are probably the safest school in Santa Barbara School District.
As a teacher at DPHS I can say that the school does an excellent job of servicing its honors-level students. They can choose from GATE, AP, and IB classes--the instructors in these courses are all incredibly dedicated and highly qualified.
