Fantastic opportunities in both academic and non-academic programs. Central Academy offers far better instruction in math and science than our home school in the western suburbs of Des Moines. Although it is available to students from outside Des Moines, most of the surrounding school systems are now limiting or eliminating the Central Academy option for students. Parents who want the best for a gifted or enthusiastic child should insist on sending their children to Central Campus and Academy.
Fantastic opportunities at Central Campus and Central Academy for gifted and enthusiastic students. Available to students throughout the Des Moines metro area, this program offers some of the top teachers in the country and focused instruction on heavy-duty academics such as math and science. We live in West Des Moines and thank my stars every day that Central Academy is available for my gifted child. My daughter loves Central Academy!
Central Campus helped me be prepared for college, both in college credits and attitude. I had a fantastically varied education there, taking classes from Japanese to Marine Biology with amazingly dedicated, creative teachers. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have been a student at Central Campus.
I attended Central Academy from 8th grade through my senior year. I fully recommend this school to all students who are unfulfilled with the regular classes at their home schools. It is a serious decision though, and it will require a student to work much harder for a grade than they have ever worked before. I also recommend Central Campus, which is available to all students. I took two years of Animal Science, and it was my favorite class ever. Central Campus provides hands on learning in areas that a normal school cannot provide. I graduated with a 4.17 GPA due to AP courses, and 35 college credits. In college I hear a lot of different backgrouds from students, and for my central friends and me, college is easy because of the preparation that central gave us.
