The school has very high academic standards. My son has to work hard to keep up and we moved from an Upland, CA prep academy. They are quite creative as their lunch/food programs seem to apply up to date marketing and quality. The school needs more leadership from the Church and the Bishop. They are accepting less people oriented staff/professionals.

We have two students at Bishop Gorman and have been very happy with the school overall. We like the academics and the sports programs. There are many clubs for the kids who are not into sports. The majority of the teachers and administrators truly seem to like what they are doing and they do it well!

There has been a major change in the school administration at Gorman. The previous Head of School was unceremoniously fired by the Diocese; in fact, the Diocese gave him 10 minutes to leave the building. The new acting Head of School, Aggie Evert, is one of the most competent administrators you can have at any school. I'm cautiously optimistic that things can turn around at Gorman, but there is a considerable amount of damage control ahead of the Gorman community. I don't envy Mrs. Everet's position; it's a real turnaround situation. Thankfully, Gorman has a wonderful student body and alumni community. I think there is a lot of hope, as long as the alumni make sure that what has happened in the past two years never happens again.
