I have found the teachers and administration of ALHS to be extremely dedicated professionals seeking to provide the best possible education to all students. Involvement of parents is also a key element to the success of the student. I know from experience that if your child is in need of special educational accommodations, the staff will do whatever they can to help. All I had to do was ask. Get involved in your child's educational experience - you won't regret it! A parent is a child's best advocate. I would also add that my children recently graduated from ALHS, ran in different social circles, and found the student population as a whole to be quite friendly.
This school itself is great. On the other hand there are very few good teachers and the Athletic department is very poor. The students in this school aren't very friendly. If i had an option my kids would not be going here.
Good teachers,great school. Lack of finding may reduce it's benefits however. Needs to have a referendum passed.
