I am new to IPS but I am very impressed. This year both of my children will be going there. I have a 5th grader and a Kindergartener. I was very impressed with the level of parental involvement as well as the little town feel. Yes, Mrs. Bushman knows everyone! She is a wonderful support to the teachers, parents and students. She is very involved with the PTA and has a wonderful support staff! Kudows to IPS. Congrats on earning an A!!!

My son started Kindergarten at IPS this year, and I have to say that the level of evaluation and support of his learning needs is excellent. He is struggling, but continues to receive the one-on-one interaction needed to help him progress rather than regress and become frustrated. IPS is a school where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best without being labeled as the smart or dumb kids. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind and knows each child (and parent) by name. She is a great example of a leader. Thank you IPS for bringing out the best in my son and giving him the encouragement and confidence he needs.

IPS impressed us witht he level of parent and teacher involvment. Our son's kindergarten teacher was extremely dedicated and resourceful. We are very happy with our child's academic proress and socialization. We ended up getting more involved with classroom activities than we originally thought we would. This was because we felt such a rapport with our child's teacher. The kindergarteners participate in the AR program and our son was tested for and accepted into the 'Reach' program. This is the gifted program. We are very please with the staff, the programs, and the administration at IPS.

We have an awesome team to improve the social and academic growth of all of our students. We are on the cutting edge in new methods in reading,math and social studies. We have reading groups by grade level so all of the students have a 30 minute block of reading on their level. Our Art, Music, PE, Media, Tech, Science/Math Lab areas are spectacular! They integrate with all grade levels to attain our high expectations. Our staff is a family, all staff members work together for the academic and social growth for our students. We are proud of our students and staff. We are a PTA School of Excellence and have a dynamic PTA organization to assist in our goals of academic and social growth of our students and to help communicate better with our parents.
