Don't let the Great School rating fool you. I moved to the area last year before the school year started, at that time Broadus Wood had a higher score. As I have come to realize that there scores are base only on SOL's. As we all know standardized tests are flawed, it does not reflect the truth of the education our children are recieving. Please read all the other parent reviews you will not be sorry you choose Broadus Wood as your school.
We love the school. It is a very loving and nurturing environment. Lots of great learning goes on at Broadus Wood.
Broadus Wood is a great school! I have two children there and have been very happy with all aspects of the school. The teachers are fabulous and have recognized the different needs of my children and have really gone out of thier way to be accomodating. Parent involvement is encouraged and there is a very active PTO. The after school activities are too numerous to list, and include robotics, chess and languages. The staff is great - there is always a friendly smile and a helping hand. We have had 4 great years there and are looking forward to 4 more!
I love Broadus Wood. The teachers are wonderful. I have 2 children that go to the school. They both have learning Disabilities and the teachers have always done a wonderful job helping me to figure out what is best to do for my them.
