SSPP has not progressed one bit since the days of nuns and priests teaching. The classes are oversized and chaotic. They have, at best, limited resources outside the classroom for students. The curriculum has not changed in many years and the teachers are NOT reviewed on an annual or even bi-annual basis. Because the class sizes are so large, children are expected to fall into the classic 'catholic school box'. Ultimately, many children fall through the cracks or require extra tutoring outside the school. Really? After paying $3k in tuitiion. The principal is accountable to no one....he is the chief administrator, chief disciplinarian, and chief fund raiser...There isn't a vice prinicipal only two administrators that report to the principal. On the plus side, SSPP is a direct line to Benet, but so are many of the excellent public schools in the area. Not enough for us to keep our kids at SSPP.

Ss. Peter and Paul (sspp) is a wonderful school. The academics are rigorous and challenging. Students are prepped for success. Help is available to those who fall short of the demands. The rigorous schedule does not leave much classroom time for creativity. While Math, Grammar and Catechesis is strong, writing, art, and music are afterthoughts. The school has a very strong sports oriented culture, but also offers a good band and extraordinary spring theatrical production taught by professional actors and musicians. These theatrical productions rival some high school productions. Currently the worship aspect of school has changed, children do not participate in planning liturgies very often now, and at the weekly masses, every other week is a Mass that has no music at all. Rigorous and Rigid, bu't prepared, that's SSPP.
