I think the parents below are correct in that a school is what the parents make of it. As one of the minority in the school as well, there are benefits like my son standing out and getting to take a leadership role in teaching english. Offering Spanish to everyone will only serve to confuse the younger kids like mine just now learning their words. However, 4th grade and above would be great. The teachers and staff are very supportive of all of the students and parents. I help my son's teacher out with all of her projects so she can create more and do more for her class. The administrative staff knows almost every student's name and is constantly involved in the kids' activities and feelings.

With the majority of Mexican imigrates, this schoold rates on the bottom of all other schools in the area in academic programs, and parent involvement.

Finch Elementary is a very diversified school with solid leadership and committed teaching staff. Would like to see more extra curricular activities but that comes with more parental involvment. Overall I think they are doing the best job they can with the area they service. I do think since the majority of school is Hispanic that Spanish classes should be offered for all children.
