AHS is lacking in many areas, considering that the school district has over 6 million dollars collecting interest in a bank. Rather than using this money to improve already degrading conditions at the school, the board has found it more worthwhile to have a 'rainy day fund.' So while we students wait for the 'rainy day' to come, we continue to receive less than what can be provided given the financial circumstances at Aitkin Public Schools.
