Handy is my favorite school mostly because I attend Handy and have many good friends there. Handy has a great learning environment and the teachers are amazingly cool.
The teachers are great, but the administration and disopline is not the best. They need to focus on real issues and take their jobs for granted. I had 3 students go through handy and have 2 still in Handy and in the time, it has changed for the worst. I do like how they have Wildcat Workshop and the exploreatory classes. Extra Actavities at Handy are great too.
Outstanding staff and students. Great expectaions for all students. Heavy focus on writing and reading. Wildcat workshop is mandated for all students everyday and 45 min. is spent on writing support. Computers, art, gym, woodshop, French, Spanish manditory for all students all year round. Serviced by 4 administrators, grade level counslors, 2 school social service workers, hall monitors, office staff and support staff. Library is new and well maintained. Three building computer labs for staff use on a daily bases. One Technology teaching team (stuents have their own lap tops) assigned to Handy. Deversified building.
