Very strong curriculum. My children have been attending for 6 and 2 years and we are extremely happy with what they are achieving in both French and English. The teachers tend to be young, since many come from France on 2-year stints. However, the children consistently get a solid education due to the nature of the curriculum. I feel that my children are fortunate to be learning two languages in depth from such a young age.

My daughter has attended this wonderful school from age 3 to present (she is now in third grade) and it has been a priceless experience for our whole family. She has benefitted from a bi-lingual education (she is American and now fluent in French speaking, reading and writing), an advanced curriculum, European creativity and sensibility, small class sizes, an extraordinarily diverse student body and staff, and a warm school community. I have researched all the schools in the area, and this one, hands down, is the gold standard. Thanks to the French-American School of Princeton, my daughter is incredibly well-rounded (she also participates in many extra-curricular activities around town) and has an understanding of the world well beyond her 8 years.

The teachers are professional and extremely capable. That's the good. The bad is the administration. The administration is difficult and controlling. You are not allowed access to your children's teachers. You must email the director who will then print and pass on your email. This level of control is concerning. You are not allowed to park at the elementary school which means without the email communication with teachers you have nothing. This is just one example of the controlling environment at the school. I would strongly recommend meeting with the administration, some staff and other parents before choosing this school. Trust your instincts.
