I went to North Union for 10-12 I mainly went there to graduate and that is what i did. I came from another school where name mattered and if you didnt have that Name then you where nothing. At north union it is a very small school but they are always willing to help. I didnt make a lot of friends but i was accepted far more than i was at my old school. I was on interdistrict open enrollment and the 45 minute drive was totally worth in.

We moved from another school in the middle of the year.. and I cannot believe the change in my children. They are challenged and doing better academically. One mom told me that the kids here do not take to 'outsiders' very well, but my children are making friends and blooming socially. This is a great community of people.

NU is a very good school. Most of the teachers care about their students success, they also are willing to go the extra mile to help when a student needs it. The parents are over involved, if their is such a thing, with help anytime a teacher or admin needs anything. NU is about the best school my children have attended. The community in general created an excellent environment for learning because they care about the success of our students whether they have one in the school or not.

my child came from another school and was getting very bad grades, flunking out. north union has been an up rise for her emotionally and socially, and educationally to her advantage.Yes there has been time my child has butted heads with certain teachers, but to say as a teacher myself, they have been very understanding and worked with me on helping her develop emotionally, physically well.So the school is not bad at all.. No school is perfect, but you have to look at the percentage out of 100% the school is about a 95% which is very good. So parents, before you change to another school, look at the cirriculum, and if last names mean anything, and if the teachers will work with you or just do their time, before they retire from their job.
