Mozelle Johnston Elementary is an excellent school with students eager to learn. The teachers are both highly qualified and master educators. We teach the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and believe in all children. Our mission states that we will provide a nurturing and safe learning environment in which students can develop intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally to their fullest potential. I invite you to visit our wonderful school and share any concerns you may have.

I visited the school the other day and what I seen I was not impressed with at all. The students were out of hand and the teachers were screaming and yelling at the kids at the top of their lungs trying to get them in control but that is not the way you get them in line. What has happened to time out or putting the nose against the wall?

This is an okay school. I went to this school and it was really great then. I do not like the fact though that my 3rd grader comes home with more homework than she can handle. It seems like every year students have more and more homework. Does school districts ever stop to think that the reason a student begins to do so poorly or drop out of school is because it becomes too much for them? These are just children and they do need time to be kids too and not try to pack so much into their little minds.

My three children have attended this school. It was a great school, then an ok school, but it is now a textbook case for how a inaffective leader can influence a school. There are still many fine teachers there, but many have begun to leave.
