Leestown Middle School

This is definately a school on the rise! I have noticed that the parents that do the most complaining have no involvement in the school unless they are unhappy! Where are they when there are PTA meetings...no at the meeting. Where are they when parent meeting are scheduled? It is funny how they do not realize that teachers have 90 students. So forgive them if they do not realize that your child's grade has dropped. As a parent, you should be checking this! Then call the teacher when there is a problem instead of immediately going to central office to complain! Realize that this is a team and most parents are sitting on teh sidelines looking for the negative to have something to complain about. Stand up, get involved, and sit in your child's class for a change.

Leestown has a fanatastic staff, all are working for the best possible education for the students. The principal maintains a secure learning environment at all times. Classroom rigor is high and continuous. All students are expected to do their best. Supporting community is very active in school environment, during and after school.

I am a teacher and I am also a parent. My child does not go to LMS due to us living out of district. I often feel it was a mistake on my part not to bring my child here to attend school. We have an awesome school where we focus on our kids and what is absolutely best for them. We instill trust, academics, discipline and character in every one of our students. Our team has contacted every parent on our team at least once this school year. My own child attends a middle school in town that has a better reputation with the media and I personally have been quite dissappointed in his school, having not one personal contact initiated all year by any of his teachers. We have great kids here at Leestown and I am very proud to say that I am a part of this family!

Leestown Middle School is a horrible school. I hoped that the new principal would do something to improve the climate of the school but she is very rude and has great need in learning how to communicate with people. It's better now than it has been in the past but it still is a terrible school because of the administration.
