Winchester Elementary School

Winchester is a wonderful school with an excellent teaching and support staff. We are one of the top performing elementary schools in the Hemet Unified School District. We enjoy providing our students with a safe and secure learning environment in which they can achieve to their greatest potential.

A great school with a caring, educated staff. If you are an involved parent (as all parents should be), then heed warning of the negative reports here. My child went to Winchester for five years and it was a very positive experience. Look at the big picture, not one episode!

Winchester was definitely not my top choice in schools. Then again, what choice did I have? (transfer denied!) I can say that I appreciate them instilling values, such as college, into their children but that is about it. Overall this school is OK. Much of the administration lacks tact and professionalism. Much of my opinion comes from hearing so many wonderful things about the nearby schools. Winchester simply does not meet my expectation of exemplifying excellence.

This is a horrible school! I was also concerned because according to the district s own website this is one of the poorest academically performing schools in town so when I went to my daughters teacher for a little bit of assurance that there were extenuating circumstances for this, I was actually laughed at for expressing my concern. I have already put in a transfer.
