I like Tuslaw because of it being a smaller school. The teachers are able to spend more one one with the students. It's also a newer bulding and hsa one awards for it's design.
Tuslaw is a very good school system. Good student to teacher numbers. Newer high school, soon to be a new grade school.
We recently moved to the Tuslaw district from a neighboring district and I can't say enough good things about this school system. The Superintendent is always at the school events (even elementary school plays!) and the teachers really go above and beyond striving to help children learn. From what I've observed, the students respond to this in a positive way, feeling like someone really cares for them and wants to see them succeed. That's the first step in teaching a child, inspiring them. The fact that they offer such a variety of classes and opportunities for their student body for being a 'small town' district is wonderful! This truly is a great school and community.
This is my first year at Tuslaw, moving from Massillon city schools and I love it. The kids are much nicer and have much more respect for both students and teachers. The teachers are great and very understanding. I will recommend this school to anyone in the near-by area.
