This is a delightful school. Our 2 year-old is so at home in the program and I could see a big difference in her independence. Our 5 year-old is also doing really well. They are working with him on high level math and he has quickly learned to read.
An excellent school with caring, nurturing well trained teachers. Children are eager to attend school, and thrive with the Montesorri instruction that supports exploration, independance and care in work and relationships. They have an increadible music program as an added bonus.
Only AMI certified school in Hawaii, strictly adheres to Maria Montessory's philosophy & guidelines. Excellent staff, amazing kids. Music daily.
Beautiful grounds and faciilities but poor communication on the part of the admin and teachers. My son attended this preschool for 3 months. The director scheduled parent coffees twice yet canceled one and arrived late for the second saying sorry she forgot. The teacher was very inflexible and stated attendance was mandatory - that's right forget about going to Sealife Park or the Zoo during the week with your child, they belong to the school once you are enrolled. Playground supervision was inadequate and I had to break up a fight while a nearby teacher was on the phone. Other issues include favoritism and mandatory beach days on Friday. The beach has a lot of broken glass on it. After the beach they are hosed off with cold water. The MOntessori concept is interesting but the environment doesn't vary much for the kids.
