As a sophomore, Leander is my second high school. In ninth grade, I attended The Woodlands High School, one of the largest, most advanced in all aspects, and respected schools in the country. Maybe because I was used to the The Woodlands, but Leander is the biggest let down of a school I've ever seen in my life. The choices of electives is very limited, and classes fill quickly - and the counselors are useless. Also, many teachers don't care about their students at all - especially elective teachers. I can tell you right now that Spanish and Business Management are two of the biggest wastes of time ever. We do nothing, and learn nothing. I'm taking the highest level in all subjects and am doing the IB Program - hardly anybody is challenged in these classes. I'm worried this will screw me in college. I honestly hate Leander.
The teachers care so much about the students and the students flourish. Team work makes all the difference.

My son is a freshman at LHS high school. We are very impressed so far with the curriculum and athletics. What an advantage to have an IB option. My sons classes are challenging, but the school offers alot of support for freshman during the first year. We love the geniune support from the other parents and it definety shows in how the kids perform at every level. Go Lions!!
