I am currently a student at ML. I switched from one of the surrounding public schools. I have to say that ML has a better atmosphere, better academics and an all together better school than any other that I have attended! I love ML! The teachers, students, even the principal! Everyone is very polite and courteous. The students are motivated in their schoolwork and extra-curricular activities. In public schools I found that if someone received a good grade in a class or even on a particular assignment, that kids thought of them as either a freak or a nerd. While at ML if you DON'T receive a good grade in a class than you are considered lazy and...well...stupid! I love Ml! It is a great school! If you are considering a school to send your children, I recommend MLHS! Sincerely -Tyler Williams
The test scores are evidence of the superior education our children receive at Michigan Lutheran High School. According to the Michigan Merit Exam scores, ML ranks no. 1 from reading, writing, math, science and social studies of the 32 schools that participated. Wow!! The faculty and staff are so supportive & helpful with the students too. My son attended ML a few years ago and the education he received there made his college experience so much easier.
In response to 'Joe Blow' a parent. I'm sorry you feel so jaded by ML. In reference to 'poor academics' the fact remains that ML consistently ranks 1st in all catagories in the annual state testing. As far as poor leadership goes - Not everyone sees things the same way. ML just like any other school is not perfect - We are all flawed humans. Maybe instead of trashing the school now you might have made a difference then by discussing your unhappiness and concern with a school official. As far as I'm concerned - I've sent 4 there. I'm extremely happy with the education they've received. When concerns have arisen for our family we've always felt free to discuss them with school staff. For anyone considering ML for their children - It's a great school - it never claimed to be a perfect one!!!!
Our children all attended MLHS with the youngest one graduating 20 years ago. We continue to support and attend activities there. I would recommend the school to anyone who wants a great education in a Christian atmosphere.
