Although my Son, Edward, passed away 2 years ago, Shaler School welcomed him with open arms and 2 of the 3 great teachers he had for his experiences with classmates that also looked forward to having him in all the activities that many children, like Edward, having to use a wheelchair and other adaptive equipment, cannot usually take part in. They took him to Field Trips and fun, school-wide activities that helped raise awareness of the diversity that should be included and welcomed in our communities.
