i am currently an eighth grade GAP student at Jefferson Middle School. i have to say that i am very pleased with the school in general. i am challenged in the program and the rest of the students, GAP or not, are also doing fine for the most part. The school is making changes and everything has been getting better. i enjoy learning at this school and i wouldn't trade it for a private school any day. the staff is well qualified and friendly, overall it's a good learning environment. :)

THis school is awful. The staff acts like if your child isn't in the GAP program they don't care if they fail. My child is now thriving at a much better public school in a different district. This school is so far behind in it's academics that when we transferred her my child told me that she was learning the same stuff she had done 2 years earlier in elementary school. Sad, Sad,Sad!!! If you don't have to send your kids to Waukegan Public schools, DON'T!
My child is in the accelerated learning program, We moved here mid-year learned that her standard class was 2 months behind her. She was bored senseless, crying after school because of it. WE went through a lot to get her into the GAP program. A much better fit for my child. She is challenged and doing very well now.
