My son went to this school in the 2008-09 school year. I was terribly disappointed in the lack of education that was recieved, and the low standards practiced by most of the entire staff. My son completed all of his work proficiently, yet was not even close to grade level at the end of the school year. It was recommended that he even take summer school. I think that as a school, they should be held accountable for the disadvantage they have created for the kids that attended there. It is an absolute injustice to our children, for which they intend to take no responsibility. The closure of this school came as no surprise to me. Infact, it was, in my opinion, an excellent outcome.
I am saddened by where the school has ended up. No structured discipline, flaky curriculum and teachers who are unable to MAXIMIZE their talents and expertise and current leadership that has struggled with the issues of the past leadership's miss handling of the school overall. This school had the potential to be great, but too many prior issues have clouded its vision.
